LOCAL OUTREACH
NORTH COUNTY FOOD BANK
In San Diego County, 1 in 7 adults and 1 in 5 children face food insecurity every day. Since 2011, Movement Church has partnered with the North County Food Bank to serve families through our monthly food distribution and an annual food drive. In recent years, we’ve expanded our reach from serving 100 families at the start of 2019 to blessing more than 1,000 families today, and always striving to beat our record of 10,083 pounds of food donated in one day!
MONTHLY FOOD DISTRIBUTION
Every third Monday of the month, we provide food to families in need from 2–3:30 pm on our campus. Check in begins at 1 pm and is open to anyone in need.
If you or someone you know is in need of food, we welcome you to our monthly food distribution on the third Monday of every month. Check in begins at 1pm.
COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVES
At Christmas and various other times of the year, our community donates non-perishable food items to the North County Food Bank.

SAN MARCOS ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE
In 2017, we became aware of the severe need in our own backyard. Located in the heart of our city, SME educates a large percentage of families living at or below the poverty level in San Diego. The severe financial need made it difficult for students to succeed inside and outside the classroom. Our church family jumped in to respond to these needs, working to meet real needs with real solutions over the last 6 years. Together, we have provided uniforms, sweatshirts, grocery gift cards, household essentials, food, backpacks, and even helped beautify their school campus. It’s been a blast to show our community how God can meet every need.
SERVICE DAYS
As SME prepares to welcome students back on campus after breaks, we team up with the staff to beautify campus throughout the year.
ANNUAL JACKET DRIVE
By providing all-weather jackets to hundreds of children, we help students stay warm so they can focus on reaching their full potential.
BACKPACK DRIVE
Each fall, we fundraise to purchase and stock backpacks with essential school supplies. Surplus supplies are donated to the school.
