KEY PASSAGE

1 “EVERYONE who thirsts, COME to the WATERS; And you who have no money COME, buy grain and eat. COME, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost [simply accept it as a gift from God]

– ISAIAH 55:1

  1. YOU CAN ONLY LEAVE WHAT YOU LET GO OF

7 Let the wicked LEAVE (behind) his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts;

– ISAIAH 55:7

7 the MIND of the FLESH [with its sinful pursuits] is actively HOSTILE to God. It does not submit itself to God’s law (STANDARDS), since it cannot, 8 and those who are in the flesh [living a life that caters to sinful appetites and impulses] cannot please God.

– ROMANS 8:7-8

7 So Jesus said again, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, I am the Door for the sheep [leading to life]. 8 All who came before Me [as false messiahs and self-appointed leaders] are thieves and robbers, but the [true] sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the Door; anyone who enters through Me will be saved [and will live forever], and will go in and out [freely], and find pasture (spiritual security). 10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].

– JOHN 10:7
  1. RETURNING IS A JOURNEY RATHER THAN A DESTINATION

7 And let him RETURN to the Lord,

– ISAIAH 55:7

2 “Repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins, live your life in a way that proves repentance; seek God’s purpose for your life], for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

– MATTHEW 3:2

7 And He will have compassion (mercy) on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

– ISAIAH 55:7

18 And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit.

– 2 CORINTHIANS 3:18

THIS WEEK’S ACTIVATION:

LEAVE THE LIGHT ON FOR ME

READ: ISAIAH 55

  1. YOU CAN ONLY LEAVE WHAT YOU LET GO OF

READ: ISAIAH 55:7; ROMANS 8:7-8; JOHN 10:7-10

ASK:
What do I need to let go of?

Am I letting go and not turning?

How much of my faith is for my benefit of being blessed rather than for blessing God?

  1. RETURNING IS A JOURNEY NOT A DESTINATION

READ: ISAIAH 55:7; MATTHEW 3:2; 2 CORINTHIANS 3:18

ASK:
Have I let go and turned from my sin but have no direction to my journey?

Am I looking for guidance in other places rather than from God?

How can I take one more step with the journey of repentance in my relationship with Jesus?

PRAY:
God, thank you for your abundance of grace and mercy to send your son Jesus as the pardon for my sins. Thank you for pouring yourself out to revive my life and the life of all humanity who turns from their sin and returns to you. I repent for not looking toward anything but you as my firm promise for abundant life. Daily, I will come to you as I journey on my relationship with you. Daily, you will be my home. Thank you for always leaving the light on for me.
Amen!
