43 But this is not how it is among you; instead, whoever wishes to become great among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever wishes to be first and most important among you must be slave of all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

HUMILITY POSITIONS YOU WITH THE RIGHT POSTURE FOR PROMOTION

8 He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you Except to be just, and to love [and to diligently practice] kindness (compassion),
And to WALK HUMBLY with your God [setting aside any overblown sense of importance or self-righteousness]?

– MICAH 6:8

6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that HE MAY EXALT YOU [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, 7 casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].

– 1 PETER 5:6-7

10 Humble yourselves [with an attitude of repentance and insignificance] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up, He will give you purpose].

– JAMES 4:10
